Marketing Internet "Advertising and Marketing" Services
So. You have
a website. (Or you want one.) Great!
Now let me ask you
a question. What good does it do you?
Is it contributing
to you success in some way? Bringing you customers or sales?. Or is
it just sitting there like a dog-eared brochure shoved to the back
of a drawer, waiting to fill the trash can when you need the space
for something else?
Websites cost time
and money. If yours isn't helping your business, then you've
got two options:
-
Get rid of it.
Put your money where it gets a better return..
-
Dust it off,
sharpen it up, and let's make it work for you.
The
first thing is: To
succeed with your website, remember if your company name is
printed somewhere, your website address should be listed there
as well. All of your papers, marketing materials, business cards,
your brochures, your newspapers ads, your yellow pages
listing--everything.
Next,
depending on your
business, it should be listed on your building, your shopping bags,
your company car, mentioned in your radio ads, etc.
Some
people think that a website has nothing to do with their physical
business--that it's just "out there" on the Internet somewhere.
Nope. It's part of your real business.
Now let's go
back to advertising on the Internet itself.
The question is not whether you
should advertise on the Internet. It is only where and how.
Among the millions of websites, how can your prospective customers
find you?
First,
determine how far you want to reach based on your product or
service. If you have a business that can only work locally and only
get business from local people, then you should concentrate you
advertising to a local level. On the other hand, if you could sell
your product or service to a wider audience, then you should look to
that market as well as a local one.
Second,
To determine where you should advertise, please don't just assume
right off that you only have a local business.
A local real estate agent, for
instance is not a local business, even if the agent sells only in
Napa California. Where do the buyers come from? Only Napa? No--there
are people all over the world, including Napa, who want to buy real
estate here. So advertising can be done to anyone in the world
looking for real estate in Napa, California.
If you have a
local wig business does that mean that you are a local company?. One
of our client was running a local wig shop an making about $3000
dollars per month. After building their website and revamping
pricing to include shipping, we advertised their website
internationally. After 4 months the orders started coming in from
all over the world. Within 6 months this local wig shop that was
barely making it on $3000 per month was selling $18,000 per
month and growing.
Third,
be smart about where you spend your Internet advertising
dollars. If your company is strictly local, focus on local
directories and networks. But if there's potential for out of
area customers, then develop a strategy that puts your information
in front of them. And let us show you how to do that without
going head to head with the deep-pockets big guys.
We have the
Internet advertising expertise
to get your site to the top of 85% of
the major search engines, either individually or in coop programs
with other businesses.
